E. M. Skinner Pipe Organ for Sale


We are pleased to be able to offer a historic E. M. Skinner organ available for immediate sale and/or restoration. The Skinner organ Opus 684 was originally built in 1927 for the Parish House St Paul’s Episcopal Church in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. In 1970 the organ was moved and installed in a small Baptist church in central Georgia. Along with installing the existing Skinner components, a new stop tab console, and new six ranks of pipes all made by the Reuter Organ Company and installed by their local representative. At this time, no restoration of the Skinner mechanical components of the organ took place. In 2007 this fine instrument was obtained by Coulter - Organbuilder and is now available for purchase as-is, or restoration and installation into a new location.

PREPARE FOR CERTIFICATION!

 

A class was held on Tuesday, October 16th at the Catholic Shrine of the Immaculate Conception to encourage Atlanta Chapter members to pursue AGO certification. There were 8 people in attendance at the class, and we believe that there are at least 4 more interested. If there are others who were unable to attend the class, please contact me directly and I will be happy to review the information with you.

This is a wonderful response from our Chapter! We had potential candidates for the Service Playing, Colleague and Associate levels. I'm very encouraged by the enthusiasm of this group of people, and feel certain that we will have several more members certified in the months to come.

RODGERS ORGAN FOR SALE


Model 835 with 6 Channel Stereophonic audio system. Speakers include 4 FR I.7 tuned port three way cabinets and 2 SW 7.5 floor loaded tuned port sub-woofers. Stereo outputs and auxiliary inputs provided. This organ is like new, in perfect condition. It is compatible with existing pipe organ or can be enhanced by new pipes at any time. Sound Source.- Rodgers Digital Voice Modules using Parallel Digital Imaging Technology (PDI). This PDI allows the organ to be musically tailored to varying acoustical environments. Digital Dynamic Wind provides independent computer modeling of a pipe organ wind system for each organ division. Like a pipe organ each note of every stop is adjustable for timbre, tuning, level and other parameters. The organ is equipped with 1 PR 300 S sequencer, the GM/GS user-friendly Midi Control. Combination Memory.- General pistons: 10 thumb and 10 toe, Divisional pistons: 5 Great, 5 Swell and 5 Pedal. Set and General Cancel, 4 internal memory levels per piston. Unlimited memory levels with Rodgers Personal Memory Card. Combination memories may also be stored on the external MIDI sequencer.
