Director of Music Ministry and Organist being sought for 750-member church in suburban Atlanta. The position is full-time with 35-40 hours per week, which includes 8 hours of onsite personal practice time for weekly liturgical worship preparation and with the remaining time for administration and planning. Responsibilities include selecting appropriate hymns, preludes, postludes, and choral arrangements for all Sunday morning services and other special services throughout the Church, providing organ music for 2 Sunday services, accompanying, and directing adult choirs during one mid-week rehearsal and during Sunday morning worship, supervising and supporting the Associate Director of Music Ministry, and supervising the music ministry budget, organization, and its resources. Holy Trinity offers an adult, children, and handbell choir along with a newly organized orchestra. The organ is a 3 manual, 47 rank (44 Pipe and 3 Digital) combination of Holtkamp, Kilgen, and Austin Organ, rebuilt by Parkey Organs in 2000. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in a music related field with a focus in choral direction at minimum, should have a heart for ministry, and excel in and promote a team-based environment. The salary range is from $45,000 to $53,000 depending on education, skills, and experience. Benefits, such as medical insurance, retirement plan, vacation and sick leave are included.
