Organist and accompanist for 1500 member suburban Atlanta church. Up to 18 hours each week. 5 hours for weekly worship service and Wednesday evening choir rehearsals. Remaining hours used for personal practice time, accompanying other ensembles as needed, and working with the team for planning. Responsibilities include planning and preparation of appropriate organ and piano music for the worship service and preparation of the choral music for one weekly choir rehearsal. The Music Ministry includes a growing children and youth choir, handbells, and praise team. The organist/accompanist will occasionally be needed to accompany any of these ensembles in worship throughout the church year. The Norcross First Academy of Fine Arts has opened this year as an extension of the Music Ministry allowing for private lesson opportunities. Allen Custom Model 4m/4c. Candidates should demonstrate exemplary skills on both the organ and piano, have a team-effort approach to worship planning, and be willing to be flexible as the music ministry grows.
