The Director of Music is responsible for all music programs of the church, including weekly worship services, special worship services, and special events, in collaboration with other staff and volunteers. The church is a multi-generational 750-member congregation, founded in 1969, and is led by a staff of 9 with a strong base of volunteers.

Responsibilities include conducting adult choir and handbell choir; playing play organ and piano, as a soloist and accompanist for most worship music; planning and coordinating music schedule and content with staff and other ministries; recruiting and nurturing participants for the church’s music program; planning for and conducting instrumentalists, soloists, and small ensembles; and reestablishing children’s choir and develop youth music program.

The position is full-time (40-hours weekly; practice and planning time varies and is determined by the Director), salaried, with benefits provided through the PC(USA) Board of Pensions (pension; death & disability; medical, dental, and vision insurance). Four weeks’ vacation and two weeks’ continuing education (CE) leave are provided each year along with CE and mobile phone expense allowances.
