Mountain Park United Methodist Church seeks a part-time organist at 10 hours per week. Responsibilities include planning and preparation of appropriate organ (or piano) music for one Sunday morning service (with a Wednesday evening choir rehearsal), special services throughout the year (Christmas Eve, Good Friday, etc.), and other unique events, such the Fall Festival and our annual Christmas and Spring concerts. The organist has the right of first refusal for all funerals and weddings with additional compensation available. The organ at Mountain Park is a 79-stop, 4-manual Allen organ built in 2003 and the chancel piano is a custom-built, 9-foot Steinway grand. Candidates should possess significant musical training, creativity, and a flexible approach to worship planning. Salary commensurate with education, skills, and experience, beginning at $25,000.
