Organist for 700 member church in beautiful Morgan County, Georgia. The Organist is a part-time position that works to facilitate an atmosphere in which God is worshipped and glorified. This position contributes to the traditional music ministry of Madison First UMC by playing the organ for congregational singing, choir and special music presented in traditional worship services, and special services throughout the year. Organist plays alongside a pianist for hymns and instrumental music during the worship service.
Salary range is…….. Salary commensurate with training and experience.
One hour of performance time on Sunday mornings at 11:00am and at least 5 hours of personal practice time for personal musical development and weekly preparation of worship services musical excellence encouraged and expected.
Organ is a hybrid 1915 6 rank Austin Pipe organ coupled with a Rodgers 905 digital organ with an impressive façade containing the lower octave of the 8’ Open Diapason.
Candidate should possess excellent musicianship and team-effort approach to worship planning.
